Assault on the Zaporizhzhia Region
According to Novyny.live: Russian military forces launched a concentrated assault on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region over the past day, killing two civilians. The attack involved a total of 596 strikes across 41 settlements in the region. This barrage included 21 airstrikes on 15 towns and villages, 313 drone attacks on 21 locations, and 258 artillery strikes hitting 14 different communities. The onslaught resulted in 73 separate reports of damage to homes, vehicles, and critical infrastructure.

In a separate attack on February 22, Russian troops carried out a mass strike on Kyiv, injuring civilians including a woman and a child. Ivan Fedorov reported that
"two people were killed as a result of enemy attacks on the Polohy district", while the Kyiv Regional Military Administration confirmed that
"there are casualties among the civilian population as a result of enemy drone and missile strikes on the Kyiv region".
These attacks underscore the persistent threat to civilians in Ukraine, particularly in frontline regions where fighting has intensified. The Zaporizhzhia region has been a focal point of the conflict since 2022, with its nuclear power plant adding a layer of international concern.
