Russia launched the largest strike of the year: what is known about the victims and destruction.
According to inkorr.com: Last night, Russia launched a powerful missile strike on Ukraine, which became the largest of this year. According to monitoring services, about 500-650 drones, 45-55 X-101 missiles, up to 8 'Kalibrs', 2 'Kinzhal' and several X-59 missiles were involved.
In Kyiv, two people were injured, and ten others were wounded. One of the victims is a 12-year-old girl in the Solomianskyi district. 'At the site of the attack in the Solomianskyi district, the body of a 12-year-old girl was found,' reported the head of the KMVA, Tymur Tkachенко.
All areas of the capital were damaged. In the Solomianskyi district, a five-story residential building was destroyed, and a fire broke out. One floor of a public medical facility also caught fire. In the Darnytskyi district, debris fell on a kindergarten, while in the Sviatoshynskyi district, it landed on non-residential premises and in the yard of a residential building.
Strike on Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv region
Zaporizhzhia received eight strikes, including one missile hitting a high-rise building. As noted by the head of the OVA, Ivan Fedorov, 21 people were injured, including three children. Two of the injured are in serious condition. Nine private houses, 14 high-rise buildings, a gas station, and production facilities were damaged.
In the Kyiv region, seven people were injured. In the Fastiv district, five employees of a bread factory, where a fire broke out, were injured. In Bila Tserkva, the roof of a nine-story building caught fire, and six cars were also damaged. Two women are in a state of stress.
Other consequences of the attacks
In the Odesa region, Russian strikes damaged an enterprise and the roof of a private house. In Sumy, a parking lot with trucks caught fire from the strike. There were no casualties in these cases.
The attack lasted for several hours: the first strikes were recorded around 2:00 AM, and the subsequent ones continued in the morning. The main focus of the strikes was Kyiv and the region, as well as Bila Tserkva, Stara Kostiantyniv, and Vasylkiv.
According to KMVA data, information about the injured may change and is currently not final.
As a result of this large-scale attack, which involved the use of drones and various types of missiles, numerous injuries and fatalities in Kyiv and the Kyiv region have been reported, as well as significant destruction in regional centers and other areas of Ukraine. Overall, the situation remains critical, especially considering the serious damage to infrastructure and numerous casualties among the civilian population.
