Heating season under threat: which homes are at risk of heat disruptions.
According to inkorr.com: On the eve of the start of the heating season, Ukrainians are once again concerned about Russian attacks on gas infrastructure. Although the government assures that gas reserves are adequate, experts are warning about potential temporary disruptions in heat supply. Meanwhile, repair teams are preparing for possible local problems due to active strikes on thermal power plants.
“Gas is available - the issue is access and financing,” noted the head of the Association of 'Oil and Gas of Ukraine' Andrii Zakrevskiy.
“Heat may disappear locally: risk of strikes on CHP plants,” added expert Andrian Prokip.
“Will gas tariffs increase?” - a question that concerns many, however, the government is currently not planning to raise them for the population.
Despite government assurances regarding the adequacy of gas, Ukrainians must be prepared for potential difficulties with heat supply this winter due to active attacks on energy facilities. Repair crews express readiness for large volumes of work to restore damaged sections of gas and thermal infrastructure to ensure stability of heat supply.
