According to UATV: On June 6, 2023, Russian occupation forces launched a drone attack on a bread delivery truck in Ukraine's Sumy region. The vehicle was on a critical mission, transporting essential food supplies to local residents. Fortunately, no civilians were harmed in the incident.
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, confirmed the attack. He highlighted that this is not the first time the enemy has deliberately targeted vehicles carrying everyday necessities for the population. According to him, Russia strikes the community with drones almost daily, endangering residents' safety and threatening their access to basic food supplies.
Current Situation in the Region
The security situation in the area remains tense, and local authorities continue to implement measures aimed at protecting civilians and maintaining stability amid ongoing hostilities.
Attacks on humanitarian convoys and food-supply transport reveal a deliberate enemy strategy to destabilize life in Ukraine and create additional hardships for the civilian population. These actions raise serious concerns not only at the regional level but also within the international community, as they violate core principles of humanitarian law. Local officials are persistently seeking ways to safeguard citizens and meet their needs under these challenging circumstances.
