Deadly Strike Hits Agricultural Facility in Sumy District

According to UATV: On June 12, Russian forces launched an attack on a farm located in the Sumy district, leaving five workers wounded. One victim, a 51-year-old woman, sustained severe burns and was rushed to the hospital for emergency care. The incident took place within the Sadovska community, where the assault also resulted in casualties among livestock—some animals were killed, while others were injured.

Local Official Speaks Out on the Attack

Oleh Hryhorov, head of the local administration, addressed the situation, confirming that the woman suffered critical burns and was promptly hospitalized.

“Medical staff are providing all necessary assistance,” Hryhorov stated.
The other four employees received on-site medical treatment and did not require hospitalization.

This attack highlights the persistent dangers faced by civilians in regions under fire. Strikes on farming operations not only harm people but also deal a heavy blow to the agricultural sector, potentially threatening Ukraine’s food security. Authorities continue to monitor the evolving situation closely, working to ensure public safety and restore normal farming activity. The region remains on high alert as the war’s impact on rural communities deepens.
