Russians reduced the use of tanks in battle: the reason has been named.
According to inkorr.com: Russian troops have reduced the use of armored vehicles due to the increased risk of their destruction by Ukrainian drones. Currently, the enemy actively uses cars, drones, and electronic warfare means. This was reported by Ruslan Muzychuk from the National Guard of Ukraine.
During the summer battles, losses of Russian armored vehicles significantly decreased. In August, the enemy lost only 110 armored fighting vehicles, whereas from January to April this figure reached about 600. Muzychuk noted that the enemy increasingly relies on infantry and vehicles, as armored vehicles have a short lifespan during attacks.
'The enemy understands that the survivability of equipment during assaults is quite short, so they increasingly use infantry groups and automotive equipment', Muzychuk explained.
Moreover, the Russian occupiers actively use automotive vehicles alongside drones. There is also an observed increase in the use of electronic reconnaissance and warfare, which significantly impacts the course of hostilities.
Summary
Thus, Russian troops have reduced the use of armored vehicles due to the high risk of their destruction by Ukrainian drones; however, they have simultaneously increased the use of vehicles, drones, and electronic means. This may indicate changes in combat tactics in the conflict zone in Donbas, as the enemy adapts to the conditions of modern warfare.
