Ukraine's Military Publishes Video Debunking Russian Claim of Factory Capture in Kupiansk.
Ukrainian Forces Counter Russian Propaganda Claim
According to UATV: The Ukrainian military has directly refuted a Russian propaganda claim about the capture of the Kupiansk Silicate Plant in Kupiansk-Uzlovyi. The 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade, named after Prince Roman the Great, responded by releasing video evidence showing the destruction of enemy forces at the facility.
While Russian troops asserted they had seized the plant, the Ukrainian side denied these assertions, maintaining that the Armed Forces of Ukraine retain control. The published footage documents the elimination of occupiers, including a Russian serviceman with the call sign 'Samara'. This incident is part of the ongoing, intense fighting for control of key industrial sites in eastern Ukraine.
Parallel Situation in Zaporizhzhia Region
A similar scenario unfolded in the Zaporizhzhia region, where there were also claims about the capture of the village of Ternuvate. Ukrainian forces continue active operations, systematically countering Russian reports of enemy advances in active combat zones.
These events underscore the persistent tension in the conflict areas and the critical importance of controlling strategic locations. By consistently challenging narratives of Russian success, the Ukrainian military demonstrates its operational readiness and commitment to national defense. In the context of information warfare, such rebuttals are a crucial tool for maintaining the morale of both troops and the civilian population.
