The Russian Army May Attack NATO Countries by 2030 - Pistorius.
Germany Fears a Russian Attack on NATO Countries
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has stated that there is a possibility that Russia may attempt to attack NATO countries in 2029-2030. Given the increase in Russian armed forces, Pistorius emphasized the importance of ensuring defense capabilities by that time.
According to the defense minister, experts are closely monitoring the developments in Russia's military industry. The planned increase in the number of Russian armed forces to 1.5 million soldiers by 2026, as well as the possible restructuring of the armed forces in 2029-2030, create conditions for a potential attack on other countries, including NATO countries. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure one's own defense capabilities, regardless of the time and resources required. This opinion was expressed by Pistorius during his visit to Vilnius.
The German intelligence has analyzed the situation and concluded that a Russian attack on NATO countries could occur by 2030. The President of the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany, Bruno Kahl, also warned about the possibility of confrontation between Germany and Russia during hearings in the Bundestag parliamentary committee.
