EU Membership for Ukraine: What Advantages Business Will Gain.
According to inkorr.com: The head of the Ukraine2EU project, Mante Makauckaitė, noted in an interview with Ukrinform that Russian propaganda attempts to distort the perception of the European Union, portraying it as overly bureaucratic.
“I want to emphasize that – with the help of Russian narratives – there is a perception of excessive bureaucracy and complexity of the EU. However, its standards are a determinant of quality. Trust in products 'Made in the EU' is widespread from Berlin to Nairobi, and not just within Europe,” Makauckaitė emphasized.
Prospects for Ukrainian Business
Makauckaitė noted that EU membership opens up great opportunities for Ukrainian businesses. She stressed that Ukrainian companies are successfully integrating into the European market.
“This is a great opportunity for Ukrainian business, which is already strong and partially integrated into the European market. Of course, there will be costs to comply with the standards, but I am from Lithuania. Our experience shows that after accession, the economy develops rapidly,” Makauckaitė explained.
Thus, despite attempts by Russian propaganda to create a negative image of the European Union, the positive attitude towards products with European standards remains highly valued not only in Europe but also beyond its borders. EU membership can open new prospects for Ukrainian business in the international market, promoting deeper integration with European companies.
