Russian Forces Face Setbacks and Heavy Losses on Key Fronts.
Frontline Situation
According to UATV: On February 14, Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Volunteer Army, reported that Russian occupying forces are experiencing failures on several sections of the front, particularly in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts. Ukrainian defense forces are successfully holding their positions and striking enemy logistics. The most difficult situation remains on the Pokrovsk axis, where defense has been ongoing since the autumn of 2024. This sector has become a focal point of intense attritional warfare.
Loss of Settlements
On the Huliaipole axis, Russian troops suffered a defeat, losing several settlements. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders destroyed:
- 1,070 Russian soldiers
- one tank
- three armored vehicles
- 914 enemy drones
Serhiy Bratchuk: 'The war of logistics continues'
Bratchuk also emphasized that 'the blitzkrieg on the Zaporizhzhia front clearly did not succeed.' He added that 'today there are no radical changes, despite the complexity of the situation on the combat map.' The high drone losses highlight the critical role of electronic warfare and air defense in the current conflict.
Currently, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces, as well as the 79th Separate Airborne Brigade, are operating on the Pokrovsk axis.
Overall, Ukrainian forces continue to effectively resist the aggression, while Russian troops face serious difficulties in implementing their plans. The situation on the front indicates the intensity and protracted nature of the conflict, especially in the context of Russian failures in attempts at rapid advancement. The loss of settlements and significant personnel losses demonstrate that Ukrainian forces continue to successfully defend their territories. This development underscores the importance of logistics in military operations, which, as Bratchuk noted, is a critical aspect of modern warfare.
