Keane: Rashford was part of the problem at Manchester United.
According to The Sun: Roy Keane stated that Marcus Rashford is 'part of the problem' at Manchester United.
Rashford noted on Monday that he has felt discomfort in a 'inconsistent environment' for a long time, evidently referring to the situation at the club.

The legendary United captain gave Rashford several tips on how to reach elite levels, pointing out his 'fantastic' potential.
Keane's reaction to Rashford's words
When asked about Rashford's statement, Keane told ITV:
“At the end of his time at United, there were clear problems. He was part of the problem in the environment, especially as one of the more experienced players at the club.”
“He should have been setting standards and showing new players how to be a United player. This is well documented.”
“Now he has a chance to compete for England, and he deserves it. No doubt about his talent, he is truly fantastic.”

Rashford came onto the field in the 71st minute of the England match, where the team won against Latvia 5-0, securing their place at the World Cup 2026.
The 27-year-old winger, who was among the five 'bombers' of Ruben Amorim, has rejuvenated his career by joining Barcelona on a year-long loan this summer.
Keane's statements on Rashford's behavior
Keane added on Tuesday evening:
“I think he was late to one or two training sessions, night clubs in Belfast, etc. If you’re part of the environment and creating problems at the club by being late and not being a professional, then you’re part of the problem, you’re not helping.”
“He needs to grow up a bit. He’s 27, so he has plenty of time, and I don’t hold anything against him for a second chance.”
Sun reported that Barcelona is 'delighted' with Rashford’s form and impressed by his work ethic.
Rashford has more goal involvements than any other Barçelona player across all competitions this season, with three goals and five assists to his name.

However, England coach Thomas Tuchel told Rashford that he needs to do more to secure his spot in the team for the World Cup in 240 days.
Tuchel noted:
“He can be one of the best in the world because of the quality I see in training, his finishing with both feet and his head.”
“He’s explosive, quick, strong in the air, so what are the limits? There are no limits.”
“But the numbers don’t match the potential, it’s that simple. He needs to push himself to be involved in goals, which means goals and assists.”
“That is, he needs to regularly show his personal maximum, that’s what’s required at this level.”
Rashford signed a £300,000 a week contract, but at the start of the season, his game deteriorated sharply, having scored only eight goals and provided five assists across all competitions.
Negative changes occurred after his tequila incident in Northern Ireland and behavior problems in training.
After missing Euro 2024, Rashford clashed with new United coach Ruben Amorim in November and was loaned to Aston Villa in January.
Rashford had previously described United as 'reactionary' and being in 'no man's land' in a shocking interview.

In the meantime, a successful loan performance could be key to his resurgence at 'United' and return to the world stage.
The England coach emphasizes that Rashford's potential is enormous, but realizing that potential depends on his efforts. In the coming months, Rashford will undoubtedly be under the watchful eye of both club coaches and the national team coaching staff.
