Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense: the threat from Belarus remains low.
According to inkorr.com: The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported that the threat from potential groups in Belarus remains low. This was stated by Vadym Skibitsky, deputy head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrinform.
'Currently, the threat from groups in Belarus remains low,' he emphasized.
Military exercises on the territory of Belarus
Skibitsky noted that Ukraine understands the purpose and plans of the military exercises currently ongoing in Belarus. 'We clearly understand the purpose, plans, and areas that will be studied during the exercises currently taking place in Belarus. This concerns the CSTO exercises, as well as the active phase of the 'West 2025' exercises,' he explained.
One of the main goals of the exercises is to practice elements of inspection of the newly created headquarters of the Moscow and Leningrad military districts. However, according to intelligence estimates, these exercises will not be as large-scale as before.
According to the information from the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, the threat to Ukraine from groups in Belarus remains low. Ukrainian military personnel also assess the exercises in Belarus, understanding their purpose and scale, although interest in them, despite the decrease in scale, still remains.
Thus, the situation with military exercises in Belarus continues to be monitored by Ukrainian intelligence officers. Despite certain threats, their level leaves room for calm response and monitoring of circumstances by the Ukrainian military. This process is important for ensuring national security in Ukraine amidst the tense situation in the region.
