Andre Onana signed a contract with Trabzonspor

According to The Sun: Ruben Amorim believes that Andre Onana could not handle the pressure at Manchester United and needed a change.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper moved on loan for one season to the Turkish club Trabzonspor after Senne Lammens arrived at Old Trafford.

According to SunSport, Amorim believes that Onana's departure allowed Manchester United to rid themselves of negative influence as their relationship soured before the start of the season.

Reports suggest that Onana showed a lack of interest in teamwork in the days leading up to the international break, which was evident in, among other things, ignoring the coach during training.

Amorim also explained why he thinks things with the goalkeeper did not go as planned.

Onana's problems at Manchester United

Despite the mistakes that occurred last season, Onana returned to Carrington in July determined to become the starting goalkeeper.

Unfortunately, he missed a large part of the preparation due to injury, and by the time he returned, Altay Bayındır was already in his place.

In a game against Grimsby, when Onana got the chance to play, he made two mistakes that led to the team's defeat.

After Lammens’ arrival on transfer deadline day, it became clear that Onana had to leave the club.

Amorim noted:

“We saw that Andre had a very, very good season at Inter. The quality is there.”

“But we are at the club, and sometimes everything can become more complicated.”

“Sometimes you can be very experienced, but the pressure at this club is tough for all details.”

He noted that despite Lammens' arrival on Sunday in the Manchester Derby, Altay Bayındır will start again, and reminded that Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount and Diogo Dalot cannot play due to injuries.

In conclusion, Amorim expressed hope that Onana can find his best form again after the changes.

Thus, Onana's move to Trabzonspor opens a new chapter in his career. Let’s hope he can fulfill his potential at his new club and return to the highest level of his game, while referring to his previously successful history at Inter. Time will tell if he can overcome the difficulties and take on a key role again in the team.
