Mikey Moore's performance for the England youth team

According to The Sun: Tottenham fans believe that coach Russell Martin failed to realize Mikey Moore's potential during his time at Rangers. This is especially notable after the impressive performance by the young player, who scored a hat-trick for the England U-19 national team in a match against Belgium.

The 18-year-old talent, regarded as promising in the Spurs academy, has high hopes after his loan at Ibrox.

However, Rangers fans have yet to see any bright performances from Moore, as he has failed to score or provide assists.

This has sparked criticism among fans, who even suggest sending the player back to Tottenham.

Moore has played ten matches for the Blues, including three starts in the Scottish Premiership, but has struggled amid the team's disappointing results, which led to Martin's dismissal this week.

Hat-trick for the youth team

Despite this, Moore showcased his potential by scoring three goals in a friendly match for England against Belgium, which ended 4-1.

He opened the scoring at the end of the first half, added another goal in the 58th minute, and completed his hat-trick in the 65th minute. Moore left the field 23 minutes before the final whistle.

Earlier, he also scored a hat-trick for the U-17 youth team in November 2023, continuing to impress with his performances.

Tottenham fans celebrated his success on social media, noting that it highlights Martin's inability to utilize Moore's abilities.

One fan wrote: “Mikey Moore. Russell Martin had no idea.”

Another added: “Mikey Moore's hat-trick, and do you hear the Rangers fans calling him a surname I've never even heard before? It isn't Moore that's the problem, it's Rangers.”

The third wrote: “But Rangers fans told me he was the worst player in the club's history?”

And one noted: “Russell Martin really ruined Mikey Moore's reputation. As soon as he plays under a good coach, he scores a hat-trick.”

Moore joined Tottenham when he was nine years old and has played 21 matches at the professional level for his team.

Last season, coach Ange Postecoglou called him up to the first team due to serious injuries, where he scored one goal and contributed to their success in the Europa League in May.

Mikey Moore's recent successes demonstrate his potential as a player, while questions about his future at Rangers arise. Time will tell whether he can realize his talent at a higher level and find stability in his performances. The situation with Martin and his recent dismissal may provide a new opportunity for Moore to prove himself in the upcoming matches.
