Sainsbury's brings back beloved Nectar promotion: how to benefit before Christmas.
Sainsbury's is bringing back the popular Nectar card promotion
According to The Sun: Sainsbury's has announced the return of the Nectar card promotion today, amid preparations for Christmas.
This card, which has been in operation since 2002, is part of a loyalty program that offers discounts to customers.

Supermarket customers are celebrating the return of the Count Up To Christmas promotion. This offer will run from October 1st to November 11th.
The promotion can be accessed through the Nectar app by clicking the “Join the Challenge” button.
In 2021, Sainsbury's cancelled the Nectar Double Up promotion, which caused outrage among shoppers.
This offer allowed customers to exchange their points for vouchers worth twice as much.
How the Nectar card scheme works
Under the Nectar card program, shoppers earn points when purchasing certain products in stores and online.
They receive one point for every pound spent, as well as for fuel purchases at Sainsbury’s filling stations and partners like Esso and eBay.
Customers can register and download a digital version of the Nectar card through the app on their smartphone.
To earn points, customers must present their card at checkout, then can use their accumulated points for discounts on future purchases.
Innovations in the Nectar program
This year, there have been significant changes to the Nectar program. From July 25th, customers gained access to personalized 'Your Nectar Prices' at checkout.
These prices offer loyalty program members special discounts on products they frequently purchase. Previously, such prices were only available for online orders through the Smart Shop app or in-store terminals.
Program members can also save by taking advantage of great offers, such as selecting five-pence fuel or promotions on affordable wine.
