Single pensioners aged 80 will receive a thousand hryvnias supplement: conditions.
According to inkorr.com: Starting from September 2025, a new financial support program will be launched in Ukraine for elderly individuals who live alone and require care due to health issues.
Support for pensioners
According to the new rules, pensioners who have reached the age of 80, have no relatives, and have medical indications will receive a special supplement. The amount will be 40% of the minimum subsistence level, which currently amounts to 944.40 hryvnias. This means that such individuals will be able to receive about a thousand hryvnias additionally every month. To benefit from this assistance, it is necessary to confirm the need for care.
To apply for this assistance, one needs to contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine and provide an application, passport, certificate of absence of other supplements, and medical documents confirming the health condition. The decision on the appointment of the supplement will be made after a thorough examination of the provided documents.
Free rest in sanatoriums
It is also worth noting that pensioners can take advantage of the opportunity for free rest in sanatoriums. Information on how to obtain a voucher can be found at the relevant authority.
Additional financial support for lonely elderly people in Ukraine is an important step towards improving their quality of life, as well as a way to provide necessary care and attention. This initiative is aimed at strengthening the social protection of the most vulnerable groups of the population and making old age more comfortable for those who are left without family support.
