Attack on the Russian Oil Port 'Primorsk'

According to inkorr.com: The Security Service of Ukraine conducted an operation using drones that struck the Russian oil terminal 'Primorsk' on the Baltic Sea. This port is crucial for Russia's 'shadow fleet' that helps to bypass international sanctions. After the attack, fires broke out on the vessels and at the pumping station, resulting in a halt to oil unloading.

Estimates suggest that the consequences of this operation could cost Russia around $41 million a day. The 'Primorsk' port processes about 60 million tons of oil annually, generating approximately $15 billion in revenue for the Russian budget.

The SBU was the first to systematically introduce so-called drone sanctions against the Russian oil sector. They cut off the flow of oil dollars into the aggressor's budget.

Furthermore, SBU's drones struck the oil pumping stations NPS-3, NPS 'Andreapol', and NPS-7, which are part of the pipeline system supplying oil to the Ust-Luga terminal. These strikes were made possible by the implementation of drone sanctions.

As a result of these attacks, losses for Russia could be significant, which in turn seriously threatens its economic plans and financial capabilities.

This large-scale SBU operation indicates an intensification of Ukraine's actions in combating Russian oil infrastructure. The impact of such actions on the aggressor's economy could have far-reaching consequences, as significant financial losses in the oil sector undermine Russia's ability to sustain its army and further military actions. Continuation of such operations could substantially weaken Russia's positions in the international arena.
