The Security Service of Ukraine found millions in cash and an elite car park with the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces, who is the deputy head of the Central Military Medical Commission and decides on military suitability for service.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
The detained was Oleg Druzh, who acquired unjustified assets worth over 1 million US dollars during the full-scale invasion.
In addition, the defendant did not report the corresponding property in his declaration and registered it in the name of his wife, daughter, sons, and other third parties.
Investigations have established that from 2022 to 2024, the suspect purchased real estate and cars, as well as other assets.
In addition, during searches, he was found with 152 thousand US dollars and 34 thousand euros.
Currently, a message of suspicion is being prepared under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Art. 368-5 (illegal enrichment) and Art. 366-2 (declaration of false information).
There is also a question of selecting a preventive measure and imposing a lien on the official's assets.
Previously, the State Bureau of Investigations detained generals for failing to defend the Kharkiv region in 2024.
