In the qualifying match for the World Cup, the Serbian national team suffered a defeat to Albania with a score of 0:1. After the match, Serbian coach Dragan Stojkovic decided to resign. The only goal in the match was scored by Rey Manaj, who celebrated his goal with a gesture of the two-headed eagle, a symbol of Albania.
Players of Albania sang on the plane a song about Adem Jashari from the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
Media reports that many Albanians watched the match in Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. Success of the Ukrainian national team
The national football team of Ukraine achieved an impressive victory over Iceland with a score of 5:3 in the World Cup qualifying match. The team also drew with Azerbaijan – 1:1. Earlier, however, the Ukrainians suffered a defeat to France, losing 0:2.
During the important match against France, Ukrainian fans supported the team by unfurling a banner reading 'Fortress of Europe'.
After Serbia's defeat to Albania and the resignation of the Serbian coach, the Ukrainian national team is showing strong play, winning against Iceland and drawing with Azerbaijan in the World Cup qualifying.
