Trump plans to triple salaries in Ukraine: how the recovery plan will work.
Plans to increase salaries in Ukraine
According to ТСН: U.S. President Donald Trump intends to significantly raise the average salary in Ukraine through large American investments and the creation of favorable economic conditions.
Volodymyr Zelensky announced this during a conversation with journalists, emphasizing that the recovery of Ukraine is a priority task for Trump, as it is directly related to the creation of new jobs.
“President Trump is focusing on the plan for Ukraine's recovery. He believes this is job number one to create jobs in Ukraine. We discussed what the average salary of Ukrainians is. They really want to do everything thanks to the arrival of American business, special conditions for the Ukrainian market, so that salaries are tripled. And they really record it this way,” Zelensky noted.
Zelensky also added that the necessary economic progress will be possible thanks to the implementation of special incentives and conditions for Western companies. Planned agreements will be formalized at the international level between Ukraine, the USA, and the countries of the European Union.
However, the president noted that although the American side is already actively working on this plan, its implementation will take time. It is expected that business will start to enter Ukraine en masse and citizens' incomes will rise only after the end of hostilities.
Moreover, in 2026, Ukrainians may expect a significant increase in salaries as the state plans to raise the minimum wage and increase wages in the housing and communal services sector.
According to previously provided information, as of January 1, 2026, Ukraine will also raise the requirements for the length of service to retire.
Overall, these plans indicate Ukraine's ambitious intentions to improve the economic situation and create new jobs. Cooperation with the USA and the EU could be a key factor for stability and growth in the Ukrainian economy; however, real progress will depend on the end of the conflict and the implementation of necessary reforms.
