The highest salaries are found in information technology and telecommunications, where the average reaches 76,905 UAH, followed by air transport at 58,249 UAH, and finance and insurance at 54,901 UAH. These figures highlight the ongoing economic pressures faced by the nation, which continues to navigate a challenging recovery period.
Regional Disparities and Future Outlook
Conversely, the lowest wages are recorded in the creative sector, arts, and entertainment at 13,822 UAH, and in library and archival work at 13,104 UAH. Regional differences are also significant:
- The highest wage level is in Kyiv at 43,865 UAH.
- In the Kyiv region, it stands at 28,598 UAH.
- The lowest wage levels are observed in Chernivtsi Oblast at 19,984 UAH and Kirovohrad Oblast at 19,996 UAH.
Forecasts suggest that by March 2026, the average wage may increase by 1.5% compared to February. These trends point to significant shifts in the country's economic situation, which require further analysis and monitoring.
The drop in Ukraine's average wage may signal the economic difficulties the country is facing, particularly amid global challenges and internal issues.
The substantial regional wage differentiation also reflects the uneven economic development across different parts of the country. Monitoring future wage changes will help determine whether this is a temporary fluctuation or indicative of longer-term economic trends in Ukraine.
