Ukraine Offers Record 460,000 Hryvnia Monthly: Who Qualifies for the New Military Contract.
New Contracts for Military Personnel in Ukraine
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine is introducing fresh contract terms for infantry and assault troops, featuring unprecedented pay that can reach up to 460,000 hryvnia per month. These changes target soldiers undertaking the most hazardous missions, with promised monthly compensation of around 300,000 hryvnia for such roles. This initiative aims to boost recruitment and retention amid ongoing conflict.
The baseline monthly salary for service members will be set at 20,000 hryvnia. Civilians enlisting for the first time will sign a 14-month contract. Active-duty personnel will commit to a 10-month term, while those previously discharged can opt for a minimum of six months. Upon contract completion, soldiers receive a basic deferral from mobilization lasting six months.
Financial Payouts and Bonuses
Daily compensation for serving on combat positions will amount to 10,000 hryvnia. For participation in reconnaissance, evacuation, or strike-search operations, troops will earn:
- 20,000 hryvnia per day;
- 40,000 hryvnia per day for assault actions.
Guaranteed pay during leave or official trips will be at least 30,000 hryvnia monthly. Additionally, bonuses include:
- 100,000 hryvnia for each captured occupier;
- 15,000 hryvnia for eliminating an enemy in close or small-arms combat.
Upon signing the contract, soldiers will receive a one-time payment ranging from 27,000 to 33,000 hryvnia, plus an annual health benefit starting at 20,000 hryvnia.
Who can sign up? Eligible groups include civilians, current military personnel, and those previously discharged. Service durations are 14 months for civilians, 10 months for active soldiers, and from six months for former service members. The guaranteed deferral includes a base of six months, plus three months for each month spent on combat missions, six months for each year of service after 2022, and one month for each year of service before 2022.
In essence, these new contracts offer substantial financial incentives, potentially encouraging enlistment and sustaining combat readiness within Ukraine's Armed Forces.
The introduction of these new military contracts in Ukraine reflects the state's efforts to improve service conditions and provide financial support for soldiers tasked with complex and dangerous operations.
