The average salary in Ukraine has increased to 26 thousand: where the most is earned.
According to inkorr.com: Salaries in Ukraine continue to rise, according to the State Statistics Service. In September, the average nominal salary amounted to 26,623 hryvnias, which is 2.7% more than in August.
However, the positive trend in income contrasts with the problem of debt. As of October 1, the debt of employers to employees amounted to 3.7 billion hryvnias.
Salary levels in various sectors
The gap in income between sectors remains significant. Traditionally, the leader in terms of wages is the information and telecommunications sector — 64,330 hryvnias. Educators earn the least: the average salary in the education sector is only 16,901 hryvnias.
Geographical distribution significantly affects income levels. Workers in Kyiv receive an average of 40,111 hryvnias. Significantly higher salaries than the national average are recorded in the Luhansk (32,952 hryvnias) and Dnipropetrovsk (27,416 hryvnias) regions.
In contrast, the lowest incomes are observed in the Chernivtsi (18,841 hryvnias) and Kirovohrad (19,065 hryvnias) regions.
The minimum wage at 8,000 hryvnias
Despite inflationary pressure, the minimum wage remains stable at 8,000 hryvnias throughout 2025.
Thus, Ukrainians can note the growth of salaries, but the problem of non-payments remains relevant. The information and telecommunications sector continues to be the leader in wages, while educators receive the least. Geographical features also affect incomes: the highest salaries in Kyiv and some regions, while the lowest earnings are recorded in other areas. The minimum wage remains unchanged throughout 2025.
