Andriy Shevchenko’s Visit to AC Milan

According to Novyny.live: Andriy Shevchenko, the president of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF), recently made a trip to the training facility of AC Milan. During his time there, he held discussions with team officials, including head coach Massimiliano Allegri. This visit carries special weight because Shevchenko is a Milan legend, having played for the club from 1999 to 2006 and again from 2008 to 2009.

Shevchenko’s Legacy at Milan

Throughout his Milan career, Shevchenko appeared in 322 matches, scored 175 goals, and provided 46 assists. His trophy cabinet includes:

  • a Serie A title
  • two Capocannoniere awards as the league’s top scorer
  • the Ballon d’Or

These accomplishments have secured his place in the club’s history.

On March 8, Shevchenko attended the match between Polissya and Dynamo, which ended 1–2. He also announced an investigation into referee Mykola Balakin’s performance. These actions highlight his active role in advancing Ukrainian football and his commitment to addressing refereeing issues.

Shevchenko’s return to AC Milan underscores his enduring bond with the club and his ongoing influence in global football. As a former player, he not only supports his old team but also pushes for reforms in Ukrainian football, particularly in officiating. This reflects his determination to drive change and improve football infrastructure in Ukraine.
