Operations of Ukraine's Defense Forces
According to UATV: Ukraine's military continues its active combat operations against Russian invasion forces. The sustained intensity of the fighting is reflected in the latest figures, which show significant Russian losses over the past day. Ukrainian forces eliminated 930 enemy personnel, underscoring the heavy toll on Russian troops. Additionally, Ukrainian units successfully destroyed:
- 5 tanks,
- 55 artillery systems,
- nearly 300 units of automotive equipment.
Cumulative Russian Military Losses
Since the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, Russian forces have sustained staggering losses. As of March 8, 2026, the total combat losses in personnel are estimated at approximately 1,273,290 individuals. The extensive material losses suffered by Russia include:
- 11,742 tanks,
- 24,157 armored combat vehicles,
- 38,059 artillery systems,
- 1,673 multiple launch rocket systems,
- 1,322 air defense systems.
Losses in aviation assets comprise:
- 435 fixed-wing aircraft,
- 349 helicopters.
In the air domain, Ukrainian forces have also recorded the destruction of:
- 164,416 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs),
- 4,403 cruise missiles.
At sea, the enemy has lost:
- 30 ships and boats,
- 2 submarines.
Furthermore, 82,101 units of automotive equipment and fuel tankers, along with 4,083 units of special equipment, have been eliminated. These figures highlight the immense scale of Russian military losses in the conflict with Ukraine, which has now entered its fifth year.
