Sir Alex Ferguson has donated £10,000 to his former club: What will the money be used for?.
Donation from Sir Alex Ferguson
According to The Sun: Sir Alex Ferguson has decided to join a charitable initiative by donating £10,000 to support one of his former clubs – but not Manchester United.
Recently, the 'Red Devils' have been more cautious with their finances after Sir Jim Ratcliffe took over the management of the club.

His donation will be used to support Glasgow's Benburb Club in their exciting Scottish Cup campaign.
Ferguson, who started his career in the club's youth academy before moving to teams like Rangers and Falkirk, is happy to support Benburb, who currently play in the West of Scotland Football League.
The club has already secured a place in the second round of the Scottish Cup by defeating Cove Rangers. A win against the Academy of Wicks on October 25 would allow them to enter the draw for the third round alongside big clubs like Celtic and Rangers.
Players and staff from Benburb undertook a 12-hour journey to play against the northernmost professional team in Great Britain. However, Ferguson's donation will enable them to stay before the match and rest well.

The former United manager has never hidden his love for the club where he began his career. In 2012, while still active at Old Trafford, he sent Benburb £200 for ordering home and away kits, baseball caps, car stickers, and 'tea cups so everyone knows where my true club is'.
Ferguson said: “Benburb was right near where I grew up. My father and I could watch them while leaning against the barriers in Tinto Park. I spent a year in their youth system, we trained and played in Tinto Park.”
Former player and coach of Benburb, Frank Lovering, added: “As successful as he was, [Sir Alex] is a man from Govan who is proud of his roots. He never forgot where he comes from. We are delighted to accept Sir Alex’s offer and hope to make him proud.”
Getty Thus, Ferguson's donation shows his unwavering support for local teams and his understanding of the importance of developing football in the region. This is a great example for others to follow his lead and support youth football as well as local clubs that need financial assistance. Benburb, driven by new ambitions, has the chance to take another step forward on the football stage, and Ferguson's help can significantly contribute to their success.
