Oleksandr Syrskyi: the situation on the Eastern Front
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported on his three-day work on the Eastern Front. According to him, he worked "in brigades that hold the defense in the Kharkiv and Toretsk directions".
Syrskyi detailed the situation on various sections of the front:
"The enemy continues to focus its efforts on the Pokrovsk direction, throwing its most experienced assault units into the battle, trying to break through our defense in the directions of Zhelanne, Novohrodivka, Pokrovsk," noted the commander-in-chief.
Regarding other directions, he reported: "In the Kupiansk direction in the area of Pishchane, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, fierce battles continue, but we hold our positions. The situation is difficult in the Siversk direction. The enemy actively uses artillery, conducts assaults, but has no success."
Syrskyi also noted: "Fierce battles are taking place in the area of the canal on the approaches to Chasiv Yar, with no changes in the positions of the sides. The enemy continues to assault our positions in the areas of New York, Pivdenne, Zalizne."
Regarding the situation in the Kharkiv direction, the commander-in-chief said: "In the area of Hlyboke, Vovchansk, there are also battles, but the enemy has no success, suffering significant losses."
Syrskyi emphasized: "In all directions of the enemy's offensive, combat operations of varying intensity continue. In some places, at the cost of heavy losses, the enemy has minor success."
Regarding changes in positions, he noted: "During active combat operations, the tactical positions of the troops can change several times during the day. As of now, there have been no significant changes."
The commander-in-chief also reported on counter-sabotage actions: "Counter-sabotage actions are being carried out by the National Police, the SBU, and the Military Law Enforcement Service. Their units are currently detecting and neutralizing enemy sabotage groups in urban areas in the Toretsk direction."
Syrskyi talked about his work on the front: "The main tasks of my work in the brigades are to study the situation directly in the combat areas, analyze the effectiveness of combat tasks, solve problematic issues of supplying units with ammunition, UAVs, electronic warfare means, and assist commanders in organizing combat operations."
In conclusion, the commander-in-chief expressed his gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers: "I express my gratitude to the soldiers, sergeants, and officers for their courage and bravery in defending Ukraine."
