Military Mobilization Exemption: Who Can Receive It and What Are the New Rules.
According to inkorr.com: According to Article 23 of the Law of Ukraine 'On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization', the ability to serve at the place of residence has been canceled for certain categories of citizens. The new version of the law clearly defines the individuals who have the right to deferment from military service. These individuals can conclude contracts with the Armed Forces of Ukraine during martial law, but can no longer serve exclusively at their place of residence.
Impact on Draft Requirements
These legislative changes have significantly impacted the requirements for citizens who fall under the category of draftees. The adoption of the new law creates new opportunities and regulates the conditions of mobilization in Ukraine.
The cancellation of the possibility to serve at the place of residence may affect military conscription, as it means that draftees now have more restrictions regarding their place of service. At the same time, the new rules grant them the right to conclude contracts with the Armed Forces, which may enhance the level of professionalism in the army under the tense situation in the country.
