How many Ukrainians are ready to move to the USA or the EU: survey data shocked.
According to the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, 79% of Ukrainians are not ready to move to the USA or the EU even if they receive citizenship of these countries.
Although compared to September 2022, the willingness of Ukrainians to move abroad has increased to 19%, it remains lower than in 2020. The majority (79%) believe that regardless of obtaining US or EU citizenship, they would still stay in Ukraine.
According to the survey, in September 2024, the percentage of 18-29-year-old Ukrainians who would like to move abroad - it was 26%, compared to September 2022. However, 74% of Ukrainians in this age range still want to stay in Ukraine. The same trend is characteristic of 30-44-year-olds, 75% of whom do not plan to move.
According to the survey, 70% of men aged 25-55 do not want to move from Ukraine, while 27% want to. As for women aged 25-55, 80% of them do not want to move, while 18% do.
The study also notes that the majority of Ukrainians have a negative attitude towards the word 'Russia' and 'ordinary residents of Russia.' 80% of respondents associate this with something negative, while 6% have a neutral or positive opinion, and 14% have no opinion on this matter.
Most Ukrainians also believe that it is Time for official negotiations with Russia. However, the main condition for a peace agreement for the population is the liberation of Ukraine from Russian troops on the 1991 borders.
76% of Ukrainians believe that Putin is ready for peace only on his terms. This belief is almost widespread in all regions of Ukraine. The Western region shows the most skepticism (84%) regarding Putin's concessions, while the Eastern region is less skeptical (73%).
The survey also found that Americans are divided on US aid to Ukraine: 48% believe that the US should provide aid, 49% - no.
