According to inkorr.com: Thousands of Ukrainians who lost their jobs due to the conflict are joining the 'Restoration Army' initiative. Temporarily unemployed and internally displaced persons (IDPs) can receive up to 16 thousand hryvnias per month to participate in the country's recovery. Since the beginning of the year, 96 thousand referrals have been issued, and 870 million hryvnias have already been spent on the wages of program participants. This was reported by the State Employment Service.

Program participants perform important social tasks: helping those affected by the war, restoring infrastructure, and participating in the construction of defensive structures.

What is the salary of temporarily unemployed in the 'Restoration Army'

The average salary of participants is about 12 thousand hryvnias per month, which is equivalent to 1.5 minimum salaries. In the frontline areas, the salary increases to 16 thousand hryvnias or two minimum wages.

'The Restoration Army' gives people not only jobs but also a chance to gain new knowledge and practical experience that will be useful even after the war ends.

The program is implemented in 19 regions of Ukraine with the agreement of local military administrations.

What work is done in the 'Restoration Army'

Main areas of work include:

  • manufacturing camouflage nets, trench candles, sewing adaptive clothing, and repairing equipment for the Armed Forces;
  • preparing long-term food supplies, dry rations, and energy bars for the military;
  • supporting persons with disabilities, the elderly, children, and those affected by the war;
  • legal and psychological support for the families of servicemen, including those killed and missing.

The largest number of referrals were received by three regions:

  • Kharkiv - over 42 thousand persons;
  • Donetsk - about 34 thousand;
  • Kiev - 33 thousand participants.

The 'Restoration Army' initiative is becoming an important element of support for Ukrainians who find themselves in difficult conditions due to the war. The program not only helps people find jobs and receive financial support but also contributes to the overall recovery of the country, engaging active participants from various regions.
