“It's a pity there are no Russians”. President of the International Wrestling Federation made a scandalous statement.

One of the organizations that has a major influence on international wrestling is the International Wrestling Federation. It is also under Russian influence, which is not a surprising fact, as its president, Serbian wrestler Nenad Lalovic, has close ties to Russia. Lalovic holds Russian citizenship and does business with this country. He was elected president of the International Wrestling Federation at the 2013 congress in Moscow, so Russia has supported him for many years.

In his interview with Russian propagandist organizations, Lalovic lamented that there would be no Russian wrestlers at the Olympics. He said this would affect the competition and the spectacle of the tournament. He also added that wrestling was the first to bring Russians back to international competitions, but they cannot influence all aspects of the tournament.

Ukrainian Olympic champion Zhan Beleniuk had earlier noted that the situation in wrestling would be difficult. Lalovic did not accept the Ukrainian's arguments and tried to bring the Russians back under any conditions.

At the last World Championship, Russian wrestlers who supported the war in Ukraine were admitted. Lalovic could not even use his membership in the International Olympic Committee to lobby for the Russians.

The International Olympic Committee revoked the Olympic licenses of the Russians because of their support for terrorist countries. This led the Russian Wrestling Federation to withdraw from the Olympics.

At the Summer Olympics in Paris, breakdancing will be introduced as a new sport. These games will cost 8.3 billion euros.
