Golfer McIntyre on Sky Sports: apologized twice for his profanity during the tournament.
Rob McIntyre's Frustration at the BMW PGA Championship
According to The Sun: SKY SPORTS issued an apology twice for Robert McIntyre's foul language during the second round of the BMW PGA Championship.
The 29-year-old golfer was extremely frustrated with his performance at the Wentworth tournament on Friday.
Sky Sports Main EventThe Scot was clearly irritated on the 12th hole when he launched a couple of expletives after several unsuccessful shots.
The first happened on the par 5 when McIntyre was 218 yards away from the hole after a superb shot. But unfortunately, the ball went into the bunker.
After the failed shot, he lost his temper and exclaimed:
“What a waste. You cannot f*****g hit it”.
This prompted commentator Alison Whitaker to apologize, noting: “Apologies for the language, it’s not a great spot to be fair”.
Despite the difficulties, McIntyre managed to set up for a birdie attempt after a successful recovery from the bunker, but he missed that opportunity as well, stopping the ball just eight inches from the hole.
The golfer again couldn’t contain his emotions and unintentionally used foul language.

This time David Howell also apologized, stating: “Apologies for the adult language from MacIntyre, forgetting that there are microphones around once again.”
Nevertheless, McIntyre finished the round with a par, ending with a score of -1 for the round and -2 for the tournament.
Tension Ahead of the Final Round
This leaves the two-time PGA Tour winner wondering if he will qualify to participate in the weekend events, as the cut line currently stands at -2.
McIntyre hopes to get back on track and maintain some momentum heading into the Ryder Cup, which will take place this month. He is one of six automatic candidates for the European team at Bethpage Black in two weeks.
Although he hasn’t won any tournaments this year, McIntyre remains one of Europe’s stronger players, having placed six times in the top 10 and 11 times in the top 25. He also finished second at the US Open.
This situation demonstrates how emotions can impact players during competitions and highlights the immense pressure they face. For McIntyre, it’s crucial to stay focused and find ways to cope with frustration, especially ahead of important competitions like the Ryder Cup. Only time will tell if he can improve his game.
