The Ukrainian market is looking for new diesel suppliers
According to inkorr.com: According to the director of the consulting group 'A95' Serhiy Kuyn, the Ukrainian market may find new diesel suppliers if supplies from Slovakia are halted. He noted that this will not be critical, as only 10% of the monthly fuel volume comes from Slovakia.
'There is plenty of fuel in the market, and everyone is competing to attract buyers. Slovakia may 'lose' us, but we pay a very good price,' the expert explained.
The expert also mentioned that the cessation of diesel supplies from Slovakia may have negative consequences for the Ukrainian market, as difficulties may arise in finding other suppliers and losing the 'corruption discount' from Russia.
'The earnings from this discount will disappear - and we will disappear as a buyer. That is, they won't have anyone to sell this expensive fuel to,' Kuyn added.
The cessation of diesel supplies may impact the market and have a negative effect on Slovakia due to the loss of the opportunity to receive discounts from Russia.
After Slovakia stops supplying diesel to the Ukrainian market, this may become a reason to search for new suppliers. In this case, the loss of the 'corruption discount' from Russia could significantly affect prices and competition in the market.Read also
