Denys Shmyhal held his first meeting in his new position
The new Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal met with his deputies to discuss the main tasks of the Ministry of Defense. He emphasized that the priorities are strengthening the country's defense capabilities, increasing cooperation with international partners, and simplifying the ministry's bureaucratic processes.
'We discussed key tasks and challenges: the growth of Ukrainian production, quality provision for the military, reducing bureaucracy and digitizing processes, strengthening cooperation with international partners. We examined each area in detail. I set clear tasks for each deputy regarding their responsibilities. We must act swiftly, coherently, and effectively,'— Shmyhal emphasized.
Denys Shmyhal also shared information about the three main areas of his work as Minister of Defense. In addition, he commented on the situation with military mobilization in Ukraine.
