These goods are non-returnable: what the law says about underwear and clothing.
Not everything we buy in the store can be returned, even if the item has not been used. Ukrainian legislation clearly regulates which goods are non-returnable. And even if you haven't removed the tag, haven't opened the packaging, and haven't used the item, the seller may still refuse to accept the return without violating the law.
The relevant information was obtained from the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
Which clothing cannot be returned
Underwear — this includes panties, bras, pajamas, robes, and even nightgowns. Swimwear and corsets also fall under this rule. It is important to remember that even if you haven't worn the item but just tried it on and decided it doesn't fit, the store is still not obligated to accept the item back. This rule is created to ensure hygiene, as underwear is an intimate item.
Hosiery — this includes not only regular socks but also tights, pantyhose, and other similar items. The reason is that such items come in direct contact with the skin, and again for hygiene reasons, they cannot be returned. And even if you haven't worn a pair of tights, you won't be able to return them.
Custom orders — if clothing was made specifically for you, to your measurements, it cannot be returned. This clothing is tailored especially for you, taking into account your sizes and preferences, and cannot be resold to another customer. For example, if you ordered a dress or suit made on demand, the store is not obliged to accept them back, even if they do not fit you.
Gloves — surprisingly, this is true. Gloves, regardless of the material, also cannot be returned. Although they are a regular accessory, they fall under the same rules as underwear or other hygiene products, due to their frequent use and direct contact with hands.
Items showing signs of use — if you have worn clothing, or even just tried it on and it looks used, the store will not accept the item back, even if the tag is still in place. The only exception is items with manufacturing defects, when the product does not meet standards or has obvious flaws. In this case, you can contact the store or seller for a return or exchange.
In general, any item that shows obvious signs of use is non-returnable, even if you haven't broken the packaging or tags. The only exception is products with manufacturing defects.

The above rules apply to the return of clothing and accessories in the store provided they have not been used. Legislation clearly regulates which goods are non-returnable even if the buyer has not used them. Therefore, when choosing clothing or other items, it is important to carefully select the right size and model, as in many cases returning may be impossible.
