Power restoration in Kryvyi Rih
According to ТСН: After a massive drone attack on the energy infrastructure of Kryvyi Rih on the night of January 14, power supply has been restored for all 45 thousand subscribers who suffered from emergency outages. The heating plants have already started operating and are beginning to gain temperature.
"Energy workers have done the almost impossible. All emergency disconnected subscribers have been connected. The heating plants have been ignited and are already gaining temperature," the post states.
Head of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih Oleksandr Vilkul emphasized that Russian invaders again shelled civilian infrastructure. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Emergency power outages affected more than 45 thousand subscribers, and over 700 buildings remained without heating.
The consequences of the attack were being eliminated throughout the night, and rescuers extinguished the fire that occurred as a result of the shelling.
"By morning, the situation with power supply for the emergency disconnected subscribers, water supply, heating plants, and transport has been stabilized," the head of the Defense Council noted.
All services are currently actively working in the city, including public transport, hospitals, and social institutions.
Vilkul also reported that overnight, 17 Russian drones were shot down in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
It should be noted that late on the evening of January 13, Russian occupiers carried out a massive attack with kamikaze drones on the energy facilities of Kryvyi Rih. As a result of this shelling, fortunately, there were no casualties. Intensive restoration work was carried out at the impact site, and all emergency and communal services of the city were engaged to eliminate the aftermath.
The events in Kryvyi Rih indicate a constant threat from the aggressor to Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Restoring power supply and the quick response of rescue services are evidence of the city's resilience in difficult conditions. The efforts of energy workers and communal services were crucial in ensuring comfortable conditions for residents after the recent attack.
