The National Radio Dictation of Ukraine Starts Today: How to Join the Campaign

According to inkorr.com: Today, October 27, the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity begins. This is an important tradition for Ukrainians around the world. This year, everyone is encouraged to check their literacy with a text titled 'We Must Live!', prepared by Yevheniya Kuznetsova, and it will be read by Natalia Sumska, a People's Artist of Ukraine.

How to Submit the Dictation for Review

To participate in the event, you can send your answers online or offline:

  • Letters with the text of the radio dictation must be sent to the address: 01001, Kyiv, Khreshchatyk St., 26, by October 28.
  • You can also take a photo or scan your answers and send them by 11:00 AM on October 28 to [email protected].

Don’t forget that after the publication of the dictation text, electronic submissions will not be accepted, so it’s better not to delay completing the task. The results will be published for self-checking on October 29 at 11:00 AM on the websites of 'Ukrainian Radio' and 'Suspilne Culture'.

Today also marks the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, an important holiday for the Ukrainian people. This holiday promotes the awareness of the significance of the Ukrainian language as the foundation of national identity.

Unfortunately, it was recently reported about the destruction of the house of Krystyna Hoyanyuk, a record holder for writing radio dictations. This is alarming news, as it concerns an outstanding individual with an impeccable level of literacy. Today, it is important not only to confirm our knowledge of the Ukrainian language, but also to remember the significance of preserving language traditions and culture in all areas of life.
