Scholz strongly rejected strikes with German weapons on the Russian Federation.
Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz confirmed his position on the use of Western weapons for strikes on the territory of Russia. He stated this at a meeting with citizens in the city of Prenzlau in the state of Brandenburg. Scholz stressed that Germany will not allow its weapons to be used for attacks on targets deep within Russian territory.
In addition, the Chancellor called for caution in interpreting news about a possible US review of its policy regarding the use of American weapons against Russia. He warned that not all assumptions are reliable.
Despite his tough stance, Scholz stated that Germany will continue to provide military support to Ukraine, which it considers important for preventing the fall of the country, which experienced an invasion, and the violation of rules in Europe.
