Rubio on the possibility of territorial concessions
Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that no one will compel Ukraine to meet the territorial demands of Russian dictator Putin.
At the same time, he confirmed that the leader of the aggressor country is making his demands.
'He is asking for what Ukrainians and others do not support, and we will not force them to agree. And Ukrainians demand what the Russians will not retreat from. I know everyone wants more details, but we are conducting serious negotiations.
We are looking for a compromise between the warring parties in a difficult war, where the Russians, as always, feel an advantage. And Ukrainians have shown incredible bravery in their fight and defense, inflicting huge losses on the Russians', Rubio noted.
Recently, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Vatikoff stated that America and the Russian Federation agreed on security guarantees for Ukraine.
At the same time, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that there has been 'great progress' regarding Russia.
During negotiations with Ukraine and Russia, American representatives emphasized the importance of finding a compromise and stated that security guarantees for Ukraine have been agreed upon. At the same time, diplomatic negotiations continue, and the parties are looking for ways to resolve the conflict in Eastern Europe.Read also
