The USA has outlined its vision for a ceasefire in Ukraine to Europeans.

Negotiations took place in Paris between American representatives, including President Donald Trump, with the aim of achieving a ceasefire in Ukraine within the coming weeks. This has become part of an updated initiative to end hostilities in the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war.
During the talks held in Paris, the focus was on finding ways to a ceasefire and achieving lasting peace. The participants in the negotiations understand President Trump's main goal - to exit the war.
American officials expressed hope for significant progress in the near future and agreed to continue working toward this goal. They agreed to meet in London next week to continue discussions.
The meetings in Paris were an attempt by Europe to influence the outcome of the negotiations. European representatives fully support the U.S. efforts to end the war and emphasize that Russia must prove the seriousness of its intentions regarding a ceasefire.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sharply criticized U.S. representative Steve Witkoff for 'accepting the Russian strategy' and emphasized that Ukraine will never consider its lands Russian. Russia insists on recognition of its occupation of parts of Ukraine, including Crimea, and the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
Despite the cessation of strikes on energy facilities, Russia has intensified air assaults on Ukraine, resulting in significant civilian casualties. Ukraine continues to strive for a complete truce.
The negotiations in Paris represent an important step in addressing security issues for Ukraine and all of Europe. Critical issues of peace and security were discussed.
