The cause of death of the boxing coach on the day of the opening of the 2024 Olympics has become known.


A tragedy occurred in the Olympic village in France. Boxing coach Samoa Lionel Elica Fatupaito has passed away. He felt unwell throughout the day of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. Fatupaito suffered a heart attack, and doctors confirmed the death from natural causes.
The International Boxing Association expressed its condolences to Lionel's relatives and friends. It was also noted that his dedication to the sport will remain unforgettable and continue to inspire the younger generation. Fatupaito intended to train a boxer from Samoa at the 2024 Olympics. The competition will take place from July 27 to August 10.
At this year's Olympic ceremony in Paris, an event was held outside the stadium for the first Time in history.
