Sukhanov Against Russian Artists' Tours in Ukraine: Explanation of His Position.

TV host Oleksiy Sukhanov stated that he does not support the idea of allowing Russian artists into Ukraine. This is important, at least while the war continues.

He made this statement during a conversation with the editor-in-chief of Novyny.LIVE, Olena Khalik, at the concert 'Music Platform'.

'We must first recover from everything Russian,' he explained his position.

According to him, even those artists from the Russian Federation who openly support Ukraine should remain outsiders to the Ukrainian cultural space.

'We must support our own, Ukrainian. And they... let them be. You understand, they can support whomever they want. Great thanks to them, thank you very much, but they must remain strangers to us,' emphasized Sukhanov.

The TV host noted that if Ukrainians start perceiving them as 'one of their own' again, it will have extremely negative consequences.

He added that Ukrainian society is currently on an extremely dangerous edge because 'we may close the circle again.'

'If briefly, it is not the time now,' he added.

It is worth noting that Russian humorist and TV host Maxim Galkin, along with his wife singer Alla Pugacheva, attended the Laima RendezVous music festival in Jurmala.

They also stated that they are ready to visit Ukraine and perform concerts if there is such an opportunity.

During the 'Music Platform' concert, TV host Oleksiy Sukhanov spoke out against the arrival of Russian artists in Ukraine, explaining his position by saying that it is necessary first to recover from everything related to Russia. He urged to support Ukrainian culture and not allow Russian artists into the domestic cultural space, even if they openly express support for Ukraine. Such categorical words sparked discussion among the public in Ukraine.
