Sweden announced a record military aid package to Ukraine.

Sweden provides Ukraine with assistance of 13.5 billion Swedish crowns
The Swedish government has announced substantial aid to Ukraine amounting to 13.5 billion Swedish crowns or approximately 1.25 billion US dollars. This is an extraordinarily large sum that demonstrates Sweden's serious support. Defense Minister Paul Jonson announced this at a press conference held on January 30.
According to a report by DN.se, this aid package is the largest since the Russian aggression against Ukraine in February 2022.
The aid includes a variety of military equipment, including 16 combat boats, 1500 anti-tank missiles, 146 trucks, and 200 anti-tank grenade launchers. It is important to emphasize that support for Ukraine from Europe needs to be strengthened, especially considering Russia's initiative in the war.
Defense Minister Jonson also noted that Sweden is financing Ukrainian investments in the development of drones and long-range missiles. This continues Sweden's policy of supporting Ukraine, which previously announced military aid of 75 million crowns for the period from 2024 to 2026, as well as assistance of 4.6 billion Swedish crowns in September last year.
Furthermore, the U.S. Agency for International Development has suspended all current projects and expenditures in Ukraine following a directive from the U.S. State Department. It is worth noting that military assistance continues and is not subject to the 90-day freeze.
The White House also lifted the freeze on federal assistance, as indicated by an official record from a Trump administration representative.
