Switzerland simplifies employment for Ukrainian refugees: details.
The Swiss Federal Council has announced the easing of employment conditions for Ukrainian citizens. Now Ukrainians who have found jobs in Switzerland do not need permits from local authorities. This is especially beneficial for those working in cantons where there were previously fees for obtaining permits.
Additionally, the Federal Council has decided to remove restrictions on changing residence for Ukrainians with S protection status. Previously, they could not relocate without permission from the cantons. Now they have the opportunity to change their residence to find work in another canton.
Moreover, it has become mandatory for unemployed individuals with S status to register with local employment services and participate in professional integration or reintegration programs.
The Federal Council is also working on simplifying access to the labor market for third-country citizens who have completed their studies in Switzerland. It is also conducting consultations on changes to the relevant legislation.
The United Kingdom has resumed the program for Ukrainian children
It is worth noting that the United Kingdom has resumed the program that simplifies visa rules for Ukrainian children wanting to enter the country. Parents or guardians with residence permits in the UK can apply to sponsor their children as part of the 'Homes for Ukraine' program.
