Rain, hail, and terrible heat — what to expect in different regions today.
Today, July 9, Ukrainians can expect varying weather depending on their place of residence. In the west of the country, there will be rain with thunderstorms, while in the center and east, the heat may reach +39 °C.
In the Zhytomyr and Vinnytsia regions, the weather will be cloudy with rain and thunderstorms, and even hail. The air temperature here will fluctuate from +20 to +25 °C, and in Vinnytsia, it may reach +29 °C. In other areas, heat up to +39 °C is expected, accompanied by brief rains and thunderstorms. In some areas, wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s may also occur. In the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, the temperature will rise to +34 °C.
Warnings about possible dangerous hydrological phenomena have also been disseminated. In the rivers of the Carpathian region, an increase in water levels and the formation of significant runoff, as well as an increase in water levels in small watercourses, is expected. In mountainous areas, mudflows may occur. A level I danger has been declared — yellow.
