Svitolina spoke about her attitude towards quadrobikers.
Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina shared her opinion on quadrobikers - a subculture of mimicking animal behavior that is popular among children and youth. She expressed her concern about this trend but noted that it has been widespread in the USA for a long Time. Elina refused this trend, fearing that it might negatively affect her daughter.
Quadrobikers are children and teenagers who participate in an unconventional subculture that has nothing to do with sports. They move on all fours, using masks and fake tails. For them, quadrobiking is not physical activity but a way to express themselves and belong to a new trend.
Different currents of modern youth trends:
- quadrobikers - those who mimic animal behavior physically and outwardly;
- furries - mimic cartoon characters that are anthropomorphic animals;
- therianthropes - believe they have the soul of an animal.
Adults should understand the difference between these trends and determine which current children actually belong to. Psychologists warn that such hobbies can have a negative impact on children, but only if they have high levels of anxiety, a tendency towards depression, and stress.
If a child has a happy life and quadrobiking is just one of their hobbies, there's nothing bad about it. It's just a way to play with friends and express oneself. In the long term, a child will understand that such a hobby is not of great importance. It is important to have a healthy psychological state and mind to avoid the negative impact of trends on life.
