Alan Kazbekovich Badoev - Ukrainian director, screenwriter, clip maker, and television host.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in Beslan (North Ossetia). Spent childhood and youth in Horlivka, Donetsk Oblast. Graduate of the Kyiv College of Cinema and Television of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Lives and works in Kyiv.
Career. In the first year of the institute, he began making documentaries. Later, he created the documentary cycle 'Life Double Two'. The films received awards at the 'Golden Knight' and 'Praskvet' festivals.
The short films 'Kolos and Sternya', 'Trace 2000', 'Five Minutes or Legends of the Killed Time' received a special award for the best directorial work and the search for audiovisual language at the International Student Film Festival Fast Fest Weekend.
In 2002, Alan Badoev was awarded the Order of the Most Holy Theotokos Pokrov for the written screenplay of the film 'Angels Live Opposite' for his contribution to the development of art in Ukraine and the portrayal of current social issues.
In March 2007, Badoev's first feature film 'AngeLove' (also known as 'OrangeLove' and 'Orange Love') was released, starring Alexei Chadov and Olga Makeeva.
In early 2010, Alan Badoev began two extensive projects. In April, at the invitation of Vladimir Zelensky and the Kvartal-95 studio, he became the creative producer and director of the new humorous show 'Made in Ukraine' on the Inter television channel. Later, he founded 'Gaudi Studio' together with Vladimir Zelensky, which specializes in the production of television programs.
In 2011, Alan Badoev directed the music film 'Mademoiselle Zhivago'. The main role was played by world stage star Lara Fabian, the music for the film was composed by Igor Krutoy, and the artist was Alexander Milov. Filming began in Lviv on May 20, 2010, and was later moved to other Ukrainian cities. During the making of 'Mademoiselle Zhivago', the film crew also visited France and New Zealand.
In 2018, Alan directed a music video for the world-famous Iranian-Swedish singer Arash and Helena for the song 'Dooset Daram'. The filming took place in a forest in Ukraine and lasted about 48 hours.
In 2019, he was the organizer of shows at official events for Ukraine's Independence Day.
Clip Maker. Alan Badoev is best known as a clip maker. He worked with Andrei Danilko, Sofia Rotaru, the group 'VIA Gra', 'Night Snipers', 'Hi Fi', Valery Meladze, Avraam Russo, Irina Bilyk, Ani Lorak, Natalia Mohylevska, Gaitana, Vitaly Kozlovsky, Svetlana Loboda, Sergey Lazarev, Angelika Agurbash, Valeria, and other Ukrainian and Russian show business stars. The director is currently actively collaborating with Russian music producer Maxim Fadeev.
He has directed about 250 music videos. One of the clip maker's works is the video for the song by Alla Pugachova 'Zaproschu na zakhid' - at the Russian music award 'Soundtrack 2008', it won in the category 'Best Video'.
Production. In 2009, he began producing Max Barsky, a 'manufacturer'. In 2011, he produced Misha Romanova (Natalia Mohylenets). From 2013 to 2018, Misha was the soloist of the group VIA Gra (producer Konstantin Meladze). In 2015, he began producing Vyacheslav Basyula, a participant in the show 'I Want to Meladze'.
Awards. Alan Badoev was awarded the Order of the Most Holy Theotokos Pokrov for the written screenplay of the film 'Angels Live Opposite'. He received an award at the 'KinoSHOCK 2006' festival for the best directorial work in the film 'Oranzhlov'. At the 'Choice EGO 2007.
