Artur Vladimirovich Gerasimov - Member of Parliament of Ukraine of the 8th and 9th convocations. Chairman of the parliamentary faction of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 8th convocation and acting chairman of the parliamentary faction of the European Solidarity party in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 9th convocation.
Place of Birth. Education. Born in the city of Reshetilovka in the Poltava region. Graduated with honors from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in 1995 with a degree in sociology and psychology. In 1997, he completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Sociology and Psychology of the Taras Shevchenko University.
Career. From 1994 to 1997 he was the deputy director and from 1997 to 1999 the director of the company "Ukrainian Marketing Group". From 1999 to 2014 he was the general director of the "Ukrainian Marketing Group" business group.
Political Career. In the by-elections in autumn 2014, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of the 8th convocation on the list of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party (under No. 43). Member of the Central Committee of the BPP party. Chairman of the subcommittee on issues of the military-industrial complex and military-technical cooperation of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the Parliament. Chairman of the permanent delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
On May 30, 2016, he was appointed President's representative in the Verkhovna Rada by decree of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, after Stepan Kubiv moved to the government.
On April 3, 2017, Artur Herasimov was almost unanimously elected as the new chairman of the faction of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc party in the Verkhovna Rada during a faction meeting, replacing Igor Griniv in this position. Petro Poroshenko released Artur Herasimov from the duties of the President's representative in Parliament by decree.
Participation in the early parliamentary elections of 2019 for the European Solidarity party, No.11 on the party list. In the parliamentary elections of 2019, he was elected as a deputy of the European Solidarity party. On August 29, 2019, he was elected acting chairman of the faction European Solidarity in the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation.
Social Engagement. From 1996 to 2014, he was a member of the governing bodies of the Ukrainian Marketing Association, from 1998 to 2014, he was a member of ESOMAR (European Society for Market Research and Opinion Research) and from 2003 to 2014 he was a member of the American Marketing Association.
Family. Married, has three children.
