Vasiliy Vasilievich Baby – Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine, Lieutenant General, candidate of legal sciences.
Place of Birth. Education. Born on February 28, 1983 in Korostyshiv Region of Zhytomyr.
In 2005 he graduated from the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine with a degree in 'Law'.

Career. Since 2001 - military service in the state security organs. During his service in the regional departments of the SBU, he held positions from operational officer to deputy head of the department - head of the department for combating corruption and organized crime.
In 2014 he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (later ATO) and was involved in hostilities.
From January 2020 to March 13, 2020 - First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the SBU.
From March 13, 2020 to July 26, 2021 - First Deputy Chairman of the SBU - Head of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the Central Administration of the SBU.
From February 16, 2022 to February 28, 2022 - Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
From March 3, 2022 to February 2023 - First Deputy Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine.
On March 25, 2022, he was awarded the rank of Brigadier General.
