Wladyslaw Trocken

Date of Birth: 26.03.1951
Place of Birth. Education. Born in the village of Oreschkowzy in the Gusyatinsky District of the Ternopil Region. In 1974 he graduated from I. Franko State University of Lviv with a degree in History and obtained the qualification of historian, history teacher, and social scientist.
Career. 1968-1969 - Locksmith at the repair plant in the city of Chortkiv in the Ternopil Region.
After graduating and serving in the military, he worked from 1976 to 1978 as an instructor, head of the organizational department of the Komsomol committee of the Ternopil District.
1978-1988 - Lecturer, senior lecturer, dean, secretary of the party committee at the Ternopil Financial and Economic Institute.
1988-1991 - Instructor, head of department, deputy head of department, secretary of the Oblast Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, first secretary of the city committee of the CPU in Ternopil.
1991-1995 - Director of the 'Horizont' sanatorium in Alushta.
1995-2000 - Deputy General Director of OJSC Motor Sich in Zaporizhia Vyacheslav Boguslaev, responsible for relations with state bodies and public organizations. Motor Sich is a large engineering company specializing in the manufacture of aircraft and helicopter engines, gas turbines, and wind turbines, etc.
Since 2000, Trocken has been elected five consecutive times as a Member of Parliament of Ukraine (III-VII). At different stages of his parliamentary career, he belonged to the factions of the SDPU(o) of Viktor Medvedchuk, the Workers' Party of Ukraine of Serhiy Tihipko, and the People's Democratic Party of Valeriy Pustovoytenko. At the time of the first elections, he was non-partisan.
Since July 2005 (Parliament of the IV convocation), he has been a permanent member of the faction of the Party of Regions. Today he is a member of the PR and the Political Council of Viktor Yanukovych's party.
In all convocations, he worked in the VR committee for social and labor policy. After the extraordinary parliamentary elections of 2007, he was the deputy chairman of the committee.
In the VII convocation of Parliament, he was the first deputy chairman of the Committee on Social Policy and Labor, a member of the oversight commission of the VR. In Parliament, he ran in the single-member constituency No. 74 of the Zaporizhia region from the Party of Regions.
On April 6, 2010, he was appointed chairman of the Ternopil regional administration by a decree of President Viktor Yanukovych. However, he resigned at his own request on June 16.
On January 16, 2014, he voted for the 'dictatorial laws' - a package of undemocratic laws that significantly restricted citizens' rights and freedom of speech.
On January 24, 2014, he submitted a statement about his withdrawal from the faction of the Party of Regions in the Verkhovna Rada in response to the authorities' actions against the protesters on the Maidan. However, he retracted the statement the next day and stated that he had been forced to write it under pressure from a group of unidentified individuals.
Wanted. As of June 13, 2018, he is wanted nationwide on suspicion of involvement in crimes under Art. St. 364 Part 2, Art. 366 Part 2 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code.Missing since February 26, 2015.
Social Engagement. Member of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation since 1996.
Awards. Doctor of Historical Sciences, lecturer, Doctor of Philosophy. Honored Worker of Ukraine (2001). Awarded an honorary certificate from the Government of Ukraine, an honorary certificate from the Ukrainian Parliament, the Order 'For Merit' III class.
Family. Wife Lyudmila Ivanovna (born 1951 in Hnyvyn, Vinnytsia Oblast) - retiree. The couple has two daughters - Oksana (born 1975, after her marriage she took the surname Polotnyanko) and Anna (born 1980, head of the office of OJSC Motor Sich).
